i have long straight dark dyed hair.. i normally use the “strength” Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner.. i was thinking of going to the baby johnson’s shampoos.. good idea or no? what are good shampoos and conditioners or hair products…no more expensive than paul mitchell…my hair is pretty normally not too oily or dry…but i do get split ends from styling..

Long, dyed hair needs special care to keep it looking healthy and lustrous. Paul Mitchell’s line is pretty good, but you should try switching to a line specially formulated for color-treated hair.
John Frieda Brilliant Brunette is appropriate for colored hair and brings out the best in brown tones. Herbal Essences Long-term Relationship keeps Split ends at bay and has a very pleasant scent.
Consider buying a Chi Heat-Styling product to keep heat from damaging your hair. Although a bit on the pricey side, the product will last you quite some time.

Well i already know the basics about hair care, but what’s the best hair care line for black hair-or just hair period, cause i want my hair to grow but eventhough i follow the rules of hair treatment, my hair still has breakage and split ends, and gets dry really easily…i trim, deep condition, basically no heat, etc. it has to be the product im using.

ok well try NIOXIN shampo and conditioner you can usually get it at the beauty supply its its made to grow hair but i mostly notice my ends started to get more healthy because i flat iron the shit out my hair… also black and sassy ol spral and olive hair sheen works really good and makes it healthier those worked best for me!! hope i helped

Question by : What is the best skin care product that you have found?
A friend and I are looking into a bunch of different products to review them on a website. It’s got make up tips and skin care tips. The problem is we don’t know many of today’s products. We tried to Google them but that didn’t really tell us what ones were used by the everyday person most.

So if you could let us know what you use, how long you’ve been using it, how you’ve liked it, and where we can find more information on the product that would be super helpful.

I teach tennis six hours a day everyday except Sunday. I apply sunscreen before I go out (spf 30 or 50) and I wear a hat or visor. I am still getting sunburned on my neck and shoulders and my skin feels like it is not taking all of this sun so well. What can I add to make a good skin care regimen that fully protects my skin and prevents further damage? I am 23 with combination skin.

more and better sun screen, with more applications on your neck during the day. the stuff does wear off with sweat.

What type of makeup brushes are good for dry skin?

Question by : What type of makeup brushes are good for dry skin?
I find that when i use certain makeup brushes, it makes my skin dryer?
Like when i use the typical foundation brush, it makes my makeup look kind of cakey and it looks like i have dry spots. So i just use a makeup wedge but i hate having to continuously buy new ones since you have to toss em after every use. Any help? Thanks!

Use real brushes, not synthetic.
Synthetic are fake brissels apposed to real ones. You can tell the difference synthetic looks a tad shiny, and fake. And real brushes are soft and look real.

Standard hair oil (grease, hair food) , Oil Sheen spray, non-tangle hair ties, Relaxer treatments, Petroleum jelly to go along with the relaxer treatments, Detangler sprays, leave-in conditioner for dry hair, made-for-African-American-hair shampoo and conditioner (the ones made by Pantene are great, they come in a bronze colored bottle), and really anything for very dry, brittle, chemically treated hair. Also, “rat-tail” combs, regular combs, and soft bristle brushes. Hope this helps!

I saw the commercial for Wen hair care, and it looked incredible! But I hear that it doesn’t work as well as they say. What hair care shampoos/conditioners will do that for me?

–I have really long, wavy hair that tends to crave moisture, but when I use conditioning products it loses volume and even gets greasy. I want it to look really healthy and defined.

I am a fifteen year old african american and I use to have this really pretty long hair. Then I began to wear hair weaves and my hair began to get shorter and unhealthy. If I continue to wear hair weaves but get a sew in instead of glue will that help me get my hair back? Also what is good hair care products for woman of color?

Hi, I’m african american as well and I also find it hard to grow out my hair. Now that I started wearing sew ins I have found that my hair has started to grow and has become a lot healthier. I also take a multi vitamin everyday as well as a Biotin supplement. I use a wide variety of products in my hair depending on how my hair is styled at the time…Since you want to regain your hair health I recommend that you start using products made by African Pride such as Hair Fertilizer, Hair Mayonnaise, etc. Their products are really great and have helped my hair tremendously! I hope this helps:)
