One of my favorite products from the Fekkai hair care line is Wave Spray – talk about making waves! This is a fine spray which makes even my hair (which tends to be straight/slightly wavy full of waves and curls in the shorter portions around my face. There’s no need to use a curling iron or rollers – just spritz it on.
Spray the mist evenly over nearly dry or dry hair then scrunch small sections at a time to create waves. If I’ve used the spray when my hair is still slightly damp I let it air dry.
This is especially fun to use when you want a “tousled” look if you have short hair or curvy waves if you have long hair.
After seeing Frederic Fekkai’s cameo in “Legally Blonde 2,” and the shelves full of his very inviting hair products I had to try. I’ve not been disappointed.
For those not familiar with the name Frederic Fekkai, it is one of the most celebrated in beauty and hairstyling. Appointments with him are sought after and booked months in advance. Wish I could put that on my Amazon “Wish List”!

I have another Fekkai product, and loved it so much I wanted to take a look at what else dear Frederic had to offer. I’ve always wanted a product that would put waves in my hair, but every one I tried before just made my hair stiff, crunchy, and icky looking! I read good reviews about this product, so I decided to give it a try. It amazed me! My hair really doesn’t have much natural wave- maybe one or two semi-waves in the back. Frankly, if I leave my hair air-dry without doing anything to it, it looks like cave-woman hair! But not with this stuff! I towel dried my hair until it was just damp. Then I sprayed it all over my hair, flipped my head over and scrunched. (If your hair tends to get frizzy, you may want to add a little cream- such as Fekkai glossing cream- as this product doesn’t do much to combat frizz) Then I blow-dryed on low for just a minute or two while scrunching, and let the rest air-dry. I have a few pieces of hair in the front that is quite damaged from coloring, and the waves weren’t that defined there. But the rest of my hair- wow! I never imagined having such fun waves with my relatively straight hair! Frederic Fekkai is a genius!

I have been styling my hair for years with a round brush and blowdryer in order to straighten it because I have a very slight wave to my hair that I always found annoying. The summer has been so humid that no matter what I try (serums, etc) my style always falls flat and that dreaded wave comes out. I went online to research how to handle my hair and found this product. I bought it yesterday and love it!
I would suggest washing your hair the night before and practicing with the product first. I washed and towel dried my hair and sprayed a little volumizer on the roots and ran the blowdryer a little through the roots. Then I sprayed Fekkai wave spray all over my hair. The mist is very fine, so it’s a little hard to judge how much to use. Then I just scrunched away and let my hair air dry. Just as it is almost dry, I get the hairdryer, flip my hair upside down and blowdry the roots and the rest of the hair while scrunching to remove any remaining moisture (I don’t have a diffuser so I use a low setting). When I flip my head back over, my hair is wavy with amazing volume! I then spray more onto the dry hair and scrunch some more. I went out into the humidity and the spray keeps the style; I was worried the waves would fall flat or go away. I am soooo excited to find this product! I have obsessed over my hair everytime it has rained, been humid, etc, because it has not kept the striaght style I wanted. Now that I am embracing my new waves, I feel so much happier and relaxed! I highly recommend this product. It also has a nice, fresh smell.
One warning: I have seen product descriptions that say this can be used on straight hair. The product bottle actually says for wavy and curly hair, so this may be false advertising to sell the product. I am not sure how well the product would work on perfectly straight hair.

I always liked the way my hair looks after a swim in the ocean and drying in the sea breeze. Unfortunately I couldn’t do that every day but now I can get the look with Fekkai’s Wave Creating Spray. The underneath part of my hair has some natural curl and waves. I spray it on damp hair, scrunch and air dry and although it doesn’t dry in a toussle of Renaisannce waves and perfect (bong!) ringlets, it really amps up the curls and waves and gives me that beachy look. There’ not a crunch factor either although if you keep spraying it on dry brushed out hair the hair can tend to get dryed out. It does add spring and holds well. I don’t know how it would work on very straight hair since the top part of my hair doesn’t want to respond much. But it works nicely on enhancing what Mother Nature gave you.

I have thick in-between wavy and straight hair that is also dry and frizzy. Other curl enhancing lotions I have tried have made my hair feel crunchy, hard and sticky, yuck! Not this one. After I wash and condition my hair I apply this spray to almost dry hair, scrunch it and let it air dry. It gives my otherwise limp, frizzy waves definition, lift and bounce. It even adds shine and smells great, sort of like watermelon. It also looks more natural and is much easier than having to use a curling iron. The spray is easy to use and you can’t really use too much of it, which is a problem I’ve had with other products. In between washes I just spray my hair with water and scrunch it to reactivate the waves.
